In the event that a tip/gratuity was incorrectly captured, you have the ability to delete it and capture it correctly.
From the account, make sure that the account is open. If it is closed, you will need to reopen it.
Once the account is open, click on the 3 dots on the right hand side of the row where the tip is located and click on the 'Delete' option.
Once confirmed, the tip will be deleted from the account and from the staff member.
Note: Deleted tips can be located on the 'Staff Reports->Deleted Gratuity (Tips) Report' report.
Note: Deleting tips/gratuity requires the 'Accounts->Can edit/delete a tip/gratuity' permission to be enabled and takes backdating into consideration. I.e. If a staff member does not have this permission enabled, they will not be able to delete tips. Similarly, if staff backdating is disabled, tips from previous dates cannot be deleted.
