How to perform bulk client merging

Learn how to quickly find and perform bulk merging of duplicate clients.

Duplicate clients are a common problem with any business. SalonBridge identifies duplicate clients based on their mobile phone numbers and helps you find and merge duplicates that exist in your client database.

From the dashboard, click on 'Clients' and then on 'View Clients'.


From this screen, click on 'Client Options' and then on 'Manage Duplicates':


This screen will find and display all duplicate clients, based on your client mobile numbers and display how many clients share the same mobile number.

Clicking 'Manage' for the mobile number in question will provide you with a list of all client profiles that share that mobile number:

Merging clients requires you to choose the primary client (the client with the correct contact details and the one that others will be merged into, and it requires you to select the clients you want to merge into that primary client. Once you have done that, click on 'Merge Selected' to complete the merge:

When merging clients, SalonBridge merges appointments, accounts/invoices, payments, courses, form responses, loyalty points, and notes from the selected clients into the primary client.

NOTE: While merging clients is a convenient way to remove duplicates, it should be done with caution. Merging cannot be undone and is only available to staff who have the 'Can merge clients' permission enabled.
