How to enable native forms

Learn how to create forms in SalonBridge.

Native forms are built into SalonBridge, so there's nothing to switch on. You start using them by creating your first form under My Business › Forms. You can build consultation forms, intake forms and waivers, and share them with your clients.

Create your first form

  1. In the menu, go to My Business › Forms.

  2. Make sure the SalonBridge Forms tab is selected. The JotForm tab is where you manage forms linked from JotForm.

  3. Click Create form.

Set up the form

The form builder has three panels: Form settings and Elements on the left, your form in the middle, and Selected item on the right.

  1. Under Form settings, fill in:

    • Form name: what you'll see in your forms list, for example "Client Consultation Form".

    • Submit button: the text on the button clients press to submit.

    • Success heading and Success message: what clients see after they submit.

    • Background, Form, Headings and Text: colours to match your brand.

  2. Open Elements to start adding content.

Add rows and fields

Your form is built from rows. Each row holds 1 to 4 columns, and each column holds one element.

  1. Click the column in the middle panel to select it.

  2. Click an element on the left to add it to that column. The available elements are:

    • Logo/image, Heading, Paragraph, Divider and Spacer for layout and content.

    • Text field, Email address, Phone number, Date picker and Long text for answers clients type.

    • Radio buttons, dropdown, and Checkbox for multiple-choice questions.

    • Signature for clients to sign on screen.

  3. With the element selected, set its details under Selected item: label, placeholder, options (one per line), whether it's required, and its alignment.

  4. To add another row, click the + button under a row, then choose 1 column, 2 columns, 3 columns or 4 columns.

  5. Repeat until your form is complete.

Tip: put two fields side by side, such as first and last name, by choosing a 2-column row.

Save the form

Click Save form at the top right. Your form now appears in the list under My Business › Forms. From there, you can view Responses, Edit, Open (preview), Share or Delete it.
