Backdating involves changing the date of an appointment, retail sale, course sale, or payment in SalonBridge. There may be a legitimate reason for this such as correcting a past payment, or loading historical appointments into SalonBridge from the console.

However, this can also allow staff to create sales or capture payments after the day has been closed off resulting in potentially erroneous sales figures.

To prevent staff from being able to backdate, navigate to 'Settings->General Settings' from the dashboard:

Click on 'Calendar Settings' and toggle the 'Allow staff to back date' option off:

Click on 'Save'.

The next time your staff log in, they will not be able to do the following:

  • Make appointments prior to the current date.

  • Create retail sales prior to the current date.

  • Create course sales prior to the current date.

  • Capture payments prior to the current date.

  • Process a void prior to the current date.

Administrators, however, will still be able to backdate regardless of whether this setting is enabled or disabled. If you have this setting disabled, and you require something to be back-dated, it will need to be done by a user with Administrative access.
