Staff roles are forever changing and require flexibility in terms of what your staff can or cannot access. At SalonBridge we understand that a bit of flexibility goes a long way in making your business run more efficiently, which is why we are thrilled to announce the upcoming release of custom permissions for staff.

Currently, access is determined by the role you set for a staff member (Administrator, Branch Manager, Individual, Receptionist and Blocked). Moving forward, SalonBridge will allow you to manage a wide range of permissions in terms of what a staff member can or cannot do - regardless of their role.

Should you be happy with the access currently set for your staff, you need not worry about making any changes under the new custom permissions option. Should however you wish to enable a receptionist (for example) to run more reports or manage stock and services completely, then custom permissions will be worth taking a look at.

To add/amend custom permissions, click on 'My Business' and then on 'Staff':

Next: Select the staff member you wish to change permissions for:

Under staff details, you can set the standard permissions (Administrator, Branch Manager, Individual, Receptionist, Blocked) which have default permissions allocated to them.

Click on the 'Configure Permissions' link. You should now be able to go through the various permissions and customise the level of access you'd like the staff member to have.

When done, click on 'Continue', then 'Save' the staff profile to apply the changes. The staff member may need to log out and back in again for the changes to their permissions to reflect.

โ€‹Note:

Certain reports will vary depending on the staff member's main access (specified in the dropdown menu. For example, if a staff member has their access set to 'Individual' but has the ability to access the 'Sales and Revenue Report', the standard sales and revenue report will only show them their own Sales and Revenue figures. This is limited to a few reports and targets.
